2018, Lets Do This!
Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas break, and that brushing the dust from your computer yesterday wasn’t too traumatic (at least not as much as your commute was). Day two post-Christmas break and things are already in full swing in P+G HQ, and 2018 is looking to be a glorious year.
We also have big plans for 2018 on the content front. They say time away to rest is the best thing you can do for creativity, and we’ve always wholeheartedly stood behind that at P+G. And having 10 days away from the city, focusing on cooking winter feasts and countryside walks rather than social media and emails made us realise something pretty significant - being away from the constant pressures of the internet was so refreshing. And I’m pretty sure we’re not alone in this feeling?
So how do the two go together - being sick of the internet, and our 2018 content plans? One word: empowerment. It isn’t necessarily the internet we’re sick of, but more so the constant nag of being told how to lose weight, what workout to do next and how we can be more mindful, more present and more productive. Quite rightfully, we think we’re doing pretty well just the way we are, and the same applies to all of you.
So as we hit January, the month of the ‘detox’, when companies and influencers alike try to tell us exactly what we’re doing wrong, and how to do it right, we’re cementing our plans to do the complete opposite.
So what’s the plan? We won’t be preaching a lifestyle and we won’t be dictating how you should eat. We will simply be educating. Our ideal goal is for all of you reading to have a complete, non-bias understanding of this crazy world of food and wellness by the end of the year, so you can then make your own, informed decisions about your diets.
There is a ton of misleading, marketing-lead information out there, and we don’t want to add to the clutter. We’re proud of the ingredients that go into our products and don’t need make up any marketing blurb to mislead or misconceive - we simply want to educate, and empower you to make your own choices.
We also want to preach balance, and the importance of mindset alongside diet. Skipping the gym when you’re not feeling it is ok, drinking wine after a hard day is great and pretty much all of us in HQ drink coffee daily - and that definitely doesn’t make our bodies ‘toxic’ (yes, we’ve read that before). So here’s to 2018 - the year of educating, empowering and spreading the word that diets are so last year. Are you down to join us?
