Seasonal Ingredient of the Week: Apples
Is it even autumn until you've had the first apple pie of the season? Call us controversial, but we’re pretty sure the first apples of the season are much more exciting than the pumpkin hype (and yes, we’ll take apple picking over a pumpkin patch any weekend if we’re talking wholesome autumn activities). We’re 50/50 in the office on whether they’re better fresh and crunchy or sweet and stewed, but as we hit prime-apple season, they're pretty glorious both ways. Whether it’s pies, crumbles and galettes, indulgent caramel parfaits or autumnal slaws and salads, it’s officially apple season and we couldn’t be happier.
