Seasonal Ingredient of the Week: Clementines

It’s definitely not coincidence that clementines arrive in the midst of Winter. A bold dash of colour on an otherwise grey palette, their high levels of Vitamin C are the perfect antidote to the influx of sore throats and running noses, whilst their fresh, juicy flavour is a welcomed alternative to heartier winter food. In season from November through to February, they’re the smallest and sweetest variety of tangerine, with a sweet, tangy taste. Their loose, baggy bright orange skin sets them apart, as well as their seedless insides.
